We are looking for a Cloud Service Manager for one of our clients in Auckland/Wellington, New Zealand.

**Short Description**:
The Manager of Cloud Services will leverage his/her cloud expertise to help transform the way customers purchase, manage, and optimise IT services as they adopt cloud technologies. The cloud services manager will drive growth in cloud revenues and GP through leadership in client-facing sales support for cloud solutions, cloud cost optimisation, the management and continuous development of cloud resell offerings, and managing vendor relationships with public cloud providers (including AWS and Microsoft) as required by our client. This role is both client and internal facing and sits within the Procurement and Cloud line of business.

**The main priorities when carrying out this role are(Role & Responsibilities)**:

- Working with group sales people and cloud vendors to maximise cloud opportunities, revenues and GP.
- Ensure our partnership status is in line with business requirements,
- Working with customers on cost optimisation initiatives, and
- Working with internal teams to build and maintain partner connections to cloud technical specialists as needed (for the likes of AWS and Azure) to ensure our client is working to best practice.
- Drive growth; in cloud customers and revenues.
- Client onboarding; maintain clear records of client deals and margins
- Maintain relationships; with key partners and clients, maintain cloud partnership status.
- Cloud billing; manage monthly billing processes.
- Cloud optimisation; maintain regular cadence with established clients, make recommendations, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
- Identify cost optimal ways to consume cloud services for clients.
- Identify funding; for new business and incentive opportunities through partners (AWS, Microsoft).
- Target growth in Cloud revenues and gross profit.
- Target new Cloud deals/clients.
- Timeliness and quality of quotations, sales support and client reports and artefacts.
- Enhancement of company reputation.
- Customer, colleague and team satisfaction - notably the Head of Sales, and Manager of Procurement.
- Partner relationships/satisfaction.

**Technical Skills and Experience Required**:
The Cloud Services Analyst will have public cloud familiarity to intermediate level for AWS and Azure, will be highly numerate, and will be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc).

The role will require specific understandings in three core areas:
1. Cloud services and commercial understanding.

2. Cloud analytics tool landscape, and specific functions and capabilities of tools used by client and our customers.

3. Internal and external commercial processes relating to the reconciliation of IT Public Cloud Platforms.
- At least 5 years of technology experience in corporate and enterprise environments.
- 2 years of experience implementing cloud cost management or cloud architecture programs.
- Solid knowledge of cloud services, commercial practices, and cloud financial tools (such as CloudHealth).
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts and invoicing.

**Other Skills Required**:

- Solution Selling skills: the ability to discover client objectives, requirements and constraints, and to articulate
- solutions which are based on the best-fit option, based on factors weighed for client and contextual relevance.
- Technical Comprehension: Technical, logical thought process, detail oriented, problem-solving skills, broad understanding of the technology landscape, maintain high level understanding of Public Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc) and best practices.
- Can Do Attitude: Positive attitude, able to multi-task, highly adaptable, methodical and organised working style, and a strong commitment to delivering positive outcomes and client success.
- Communication Skills: The ability to routinely and effectively interact with customers, support teams, vendors and IT partners at all levels. Excellent verbal and written English communication. Ability to produce high quality communications and documentation.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships and consult with business stakeholders. Ability to astutely operate in vendor/partner environments.
- Leadership: Will take responsibility/ownership where needed.
- Team Player: Ability to work under pressure, contribute to team success, able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment, self-motivated, self-managing, will promote team spirit, willingness to travel occasionally, able to undertake some outside hours and/or on-call work.
