**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

As a Speech Language Therapist you will work across a variety of settings working with inpatient; outpatient and community patients. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties arising from many different aetiologies including stroke; progressive neurological disease and frailty. We would love to hear from you if you have recent experience working with adult clients in a hospital setting.

The Physical Health Speech Language Therapy team is a small and friendly team offering Speech Language Therapy service to adult clients across the Taranaki region in a variety of settings. We are highly dedicated and patient focussed. This exciting role will have the opportunity to experience a wide and varied caseload whist working as part of a very supportive team.

**Moū - About you**

You will need to have:

- Registration with New Zealand Speech-Language Therapist’s Association (NZSTA) and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- The ability to work collaboratively with others to provide integrated assessment and rehabilitation to clients with a diverse range of challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.
- A strong rehabilitation focus, passion for ongoing learning and development, and the ability to share, support and develop others.
- Experience of working as a Speech Language Therapist with adults who have acquired swallowing and communication difficulties, a minimum of 3 years work experience would be highly beneficial.
- Full driver’s license
- Working visa/NZ residence (as appropriate)
