**Your role**

Become a key player in a small but dedicated local team in Mount Maunganui that is part of an established industry leader in the bulk distribution of chemicals in New Zealand and Australia.

The primary focus of our Transport Manager is to schedule and oversee the on-time distribution of bulk and packaged AdBlue® diesel exhaust fluid throughout our NZ customer network. However, being a key player on a lean team of people who get the job done every day, your other hats to wear during the week could include helping load trucks, or when the scheduling falls over make unplanned deliveries. It’s never a dull day and the team are a friendly group of people to work with.

**Your responsibilities**
- Supervise and manage a three-person driver team who are responsible for delivering product in the North Island
- Supervise and be responsible for unloading containers our Transitional facility
- Oversee customer orders of packaged product, drums IBCs and containers for export
- Issue outbound shipping or pick up paperwork
- Updating and auditing inventory records
- Prepare and review the weekly delivery schedules
- Ensure the fleet of four vehicles maintains compliance to its Risk & Maintenance schedule
- Driver performance reviews alongside the Fleet management team

You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders and your demonstrable relationship management, communication and influencing skills will ensure your success in building and maintaining positive working relationships.

**Your skills & experience**
- Valid forklift license with relevant experience
- Previous experience in a transport, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Prior experience in Team Lead or Supervisor role
- Ability to be flexible and wear many hats in a hands-on role
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- A driver’s class 4 or 5 license would be highly regarded, but is not essential
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team
- Physically fit and able to perform hands on aspects of the role including occasional lifting of packages up to 25 kgs.
