I am a mother with progressive Multiple Sclerosis, dependent on a power wheelchair. I am looking for a caregiver to assist with the smooth running of my household.

This would usually involve a morning visit, though occasionally a lunchtime visit as well, 2 to 3 days a week. Tasks in the morning visit include helping me out of bed, assisting with exercises, cleaning and tidying my bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, keeping the never-ending cycle of laundry going, and, best of all, attending to my wonderful service dog. This visit is approximately 3 hours, though this, of course, varies from day to day. There is also the possibility of a midday visit to help with lunch, ensure I am comfortable, drive me to medical appointments, shopping or other exciting places, etc. Hours may vary due to medical appointments, etc, so flexibility is key. Casual weekend work is likely to be available, too.

The exact days of work would be negotiated between myself, the current worker working the other mornings, and the successful applicant.

This job would suit a student nurse, physiotherapist or similar looking for permanent part-time work.

**Requirements**:
Great communication skills

A current full driver's licence

To have a mobile phone

Preferably some experience as a personal carer though not essential

Double vaccinated and booster

The legal right to work in NZ

High energy and a sense of humour

To be reliable, flexible, honest and caring

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.50 - $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Morning shift

**Experience**:

- Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Full driver's licence (required)
