Our Application Services team, within IST, helps ensure that electricity is delivered to all New Zealanders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by maintaining and evolving complex critical and enterprise IT systems.

**About the opportunity**

Your passion for continuous improvement will be put to good use as you look to reduce technical debt through robust problem analysis and automation of routine operational tasks and service requests.

On any given day you can expect to:

- Perform Incident and Problem Management functions to resolve and close out system issues
- Develop minor change / service requests / enhancements through configuration or scripting
- Actively focus on the reduction of technical debt
- Work collaboratively in project teams with Solution Architects, Designers, Technical Specialists, Developers, and operations staff to define and deliver changes

**About you**

We know you'll find this role both demanding and stimulating in equal measure

**To be considered, your CV, covering letter and experience will demonstrate**:

- Minimum 4+ years' hands-on experience as an Operations/Applications Analyst
- Demonstrated experience identifying root cause of issues through technical analysis and by leveraging logging and monitoring tools
- Experience working with vendors delivering and supporting components of solutions
- Ability to script or configure system changes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
