Exciting opportunities have emerged within our ICT Team as we undergo a transformative phase, realigning functions to clarify leadership and technical roles and responsibilities while structuring resources for optimal capability alignment to establish a Fit for Purpose technology team. The pivotal ICT leadership team plays a critical function in executing this vision and the change required to support the Long-Term Plan (LTP). These positions involve reshaping our Architecture Team to meet both present and future demands, as well as starting the initial realignment of teams to align with the revised ICT Leadership roles, promoting transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

As a result, we are currently seeking individuals for the following opportunities in this dynamic environment.

**Head of Platforms**:
The primary duty of this role is to ensure that the Council possesses exceptional platform and infrastructure engineering expertise and capacities to effectively deliver core technology-related infrastructure and platform services through the designated delivery model. Overall, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the Council's platform and infrastructure engineering capabilities facilitate the secure and efficient delivery of core technology services, driven by adherence to DevOps practices, principles, and patterns, ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to technology risk controls.

**Head of Strategy and Architecture**:
This role will own the ICT architecture & strategy design function and practice, support creation of Council’s business strategy, bringing thought leadership, knowledge on the changing environment, and a future focus, from a data, digital, and technology lens. It will be accountable for the delivery of the business strategy and ensure ICT architectural and lifecycle dependencies are identified and delivered, resulting in an aligned ICT organization.

To lead the strategic planning and execution of the Councils technology architecture, aligning it with business objectives and emerging trends. This role is crucial in steering the technology department through significant transformations and adopting new architectural approaches supporting the execution of the Long-Term Plan.

In the capacity of an Information Security Manager, the role involves providing strategic leadership in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within the Group Services Division of the Council. Central to this position is the management of a dedicated team of specialists focused on Risk, Awareness, and Compliance. This encompasses overseeing their responsibilities and providing insightful thought leadership to guide their efforts effectively. Additionally, the role encompasses the management of ICT Audit and Compliance obligations, overseeing engagements, and spearheading remediation activities to ensure comprehensive and robust adherence to security standards across the organization.

**Information Security Consultant**:
This role encompasses providing advisory services to projects, agile release trains, and operational teams, ensuring the proficient implementation of security controls. A pivotal aspect of the position involves spearheading the development of a center of excellence for the Information Security Practice at the Council, achieved through active engagement and education of colleagues. Moreover, the role actively contributes to ensuring the secure delivery of solutions to both the Council and the residents of Auckland. Additionally, the responsibilities extend to conducting Risk Assessments, a crucial function that supports the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework and its management of the ICT Risk Register.
