Are you ready to lead transformation on a grand scale? As the Project Director responsible for ensuring all technology required for the Nelson Hospital redevelopment is delivered on time, on budget and ‘fit for purpose’, you'll step into an opportunity that promises to be both challenging and immensely rewarding.
In this context, you'll lead project activity, guiding it from concept to design, build, test, and transition, ensuring it aligns with the National Digital Framework. Ultimately being responsible for leading and directing the Digital Transformation Programme Team throughout the programme’s implementation.

You have a remarkable ability to navigate and lead diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, with ease and finesse. With a proven track record in senior stakeholder engagement, you bring a wealth of political insight and financial acumen to the table, ensuring the success of initiatives.
You have a strong foundation in programme management, exemplified by your ability to deliver complex transformation programs on time, within budget, and with unwavering quality. Your expertise spans various project processes and methodologies, and you excel in managing the commercial performance of programs, swiftly addressing challenges, seizing opportunities, and fostering high performance.
Your proactive approach extends to establishing robust risk management processes, guaranteeing program success by identifying, managing, and monitoring complex risks effectively.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Proven experience delivering complex transformation programmes on schedule, cost and with the required quality.
- Relevant professional programme and project management experience and confidence in understanding a variety of project processes and methodologies, such as Managing Successful Programmes, PRINCE2, PMBOK or similar or demonstrated experience in Programme and Project delivery.
- Significant Programme Director leadership experience in successfully delivering Digital programmes with budgets in excess of $30m - preferably in a health context.
- Experience managing the commercial performance of programmes, ensuring timely and meaningful responses to challenges, issues and opportunities, and enabling sustainable levels of high performance
- Proven experience establishing processes for identifying, managing and monitoring complex risks to programme outcomes.
- A respected leader with demonstrated experience working at a senior management level across large and complex programmes of work
- Significant experience in strategic communications and an ability to take complex information and synthesise into key messages for relevant audiences
- Political nuance, with an understanding how issues play out and what is important to key stakeholders and the Government of the day
