Field Sales Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in quota carrying software sales and account management at enterprise B2B software companies selling cloud products.
- 3 years of experience in sales of cloud-based hyperscalers.
- Experience leading a sales team focused on new business acquisition.

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA or Master's degree.
- Experience working directly with or at one or more hyperscalers.
- Experience in sales management, including scaling sales teams and business performance in order to achieve significant impact.
- Understanding of platform and infrastructure as a service marketplaces and Google Cloud Platform offerings, as well as key players and technical factors driving the competitive landscape.
- Knowledge of the hyper-scale cloud ecosystem, including competitive differentiation and relative strengths between major players.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills, excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills, and the ability to plan, pitch, and execute a territory sales strategy.

**About the job**:
As a Field Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for the market success and adoption of our cloud solutions, and manage a team focused on business acquisition across all industries in New Zealand. You will be the official representative of Google Cloud and will drive how media, business, government, and consumers in the country view Google Cloud. You will also be the representative for Google Cloud internally, working cross-functionally to ensure alignment and an integrated go-to-market strategy. You will focus on strategy and execution of the organization’s business plan, metrics for achieving goals within the market, and business growth and customer acquisition for Google Cloud.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the overall in-country Google Cloud strategy, delivering significant business and organizational growth for Google Cloud New Zealand.
- Develop a team, fostering a high-performance culture, with direct management of New Zealand Cloud Sales Leadership, leading the team through change and leveraging resources cross-functionally by building a shared strategy.
- Contribute to the growth and direction of Google Cloud products and services in the region. Ensure product launches are successfully communicated to your local market, building annual, quarterly, and monthly plans for business growth and associated scaleable playbooks and tools.
- Promote Google Cloud products, increasing growth in large accounts and developing effective strategies for succeeding in a competitive environment.
- Develop an understanding of complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level, and provide tailored solutions and presentations on Google Cloud products to customers.
