**Job Description**:
**The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi**

The Marketing team is looking for a creative and innovative **Marketing Advisor** to support the University marketing team in the development and execution of engaging marketing communications and campaigns for multiple audiences across a range of platforms including digital, social media and marketing automation.

You will work with the Brand Manager to ensure the brand of the University reflects the new identity, Waipapa Taumata Rau, and is adhered to according to the University Style Guide.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Supporting the Brand Manager in managing the relationship with the University’s external advertising agencies and work closely with agencies to plan and execute marketing and advertising campaigns.
- Assisting the Brand Manager with budget tracking, approving of invoices, raising PO’s, debrief reports and regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Planning and executing marketing projects, including prospectus photoshoots and other marketing projects.
- Supporting the Senior Social Media Advisor and help to manage the University YouTube channel.
- Identifying external content (e.g. news articles) to use for advertising campaigns and social media.
- Editing and proof reading for promotional material.
- Maintaining long-term University advertising, including billboards, quad flags and digital, including liaising with key stakeholders to coordinate pan-University bookings.
- Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of all active campaign and promotional activities.

**About you | He kōrero mōu**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Three to five years relevant experience, including managing numerous advertising campaigns simultaneously.
- Experience in a diverse range of marketing and advertising activities including print, web, digital media, social media and outdoor advertising.
- Experience working in an environment requiring high levels of customer service delivery and cultural intelligence.
- Experience working alongside an advertising agency.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to create engaging and relevant content.
- An excellent understanding of digital and social media principles and disciplines.
- Experience with tracking budgets and managing invoices.
- An understanding of key social media channels, publishing tools and approaches to social media listening and assessing engagement.
- Experience with formal reporting processes.
