The Senior Lead Māori will focus on two critical pieces of work led out of the Māori Directorate. The first is to act as Pharmac's lead for an external project aiming to identify, map and analyse racism and bias across Pharmac, and to further develop measures to monitor removal of bias and racism in our systems.
Additionally, you will also lead the ongoing work to improve the cultural capability across Pharmac's advisory committee network, with a particular focus on the recruitment and leadership development of Māori to positions across our committee network.

Mā‎ wai te mahi nei? | Who are we looking for?

As a Senior Lead you will demonstrate a high level of relationship building capability and a command for mastering the context of your work within Te Pātaka Whaioranga Pharmac and the wider health system.

**Our ideal applicant will display**:

- Confidence with mātauranga Māori, te reo Māori me ōna tikanga

Joining Te Pātaka Whaioranga | Pharmac
We are a whānau centered organisation and understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work life balance. To support our kaimahi and their whānau we offer:

- Five weeks annual leave
- Additional paid leave for our end of year close-down period
- An annual $500 hauora payment
- Access to subsidised health insurance through Southern Cross

At Te Pātaka Whaioranga we welcome all kaimahi with a mihi whakatau during their first month. For kaimahi Māori, we offer mihi whakatau on your first day, where your whānau and manuhiri are welcome to attend. As you come through our waharoa, you will be welcomed into our growing support network - Maōri Caucus.
We strive to represent Aotearoa and the diverse communities we serve. We are committed to championing workplace inclusion and acknowledge that in order to do their best work, we must foster an environment where people are comfortable to be themselves and work in a way that best suits their individual needs.
