**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
- Assignments can be for full time or part time working hours (Monday to Friday).

You will be required to support short term roles within our Finance Teams either with a Service Division and/or Faculty depending on the reason for fixed term.

Our centralised teams perform operational functions, consolidating high volume finance transactional activities relating to the purchasing and supply of goods and services. They are responsible for all purchasing, billing, and revenue collection activity for student fees, research activities, faculties, and service divisions.

We are seeking expression of interest in the following areas:
**Accounts Receivable**:

- People Soft Billings (EPR System)
- Processing refunds, receipting
- Reconciliation, investigating unidentified payments
- Ensuring adherence to the University policy and processes

**Accounts Payable**:

- Requisition requests
- Invoice processing
- Match exceptions resolutions
- Receipting escalations
- Supplier maintenance
- Co-ordination and execution of foreign and domestic pay runs, working with Treasury, signatories, and the banks.

AP/AR roles are a Band D position with a salary range from $50,700 to $63,900 depending on experience and qualifications.

**Credit Control**:

- Having up to 5 years credit control experience within a big and complex organisation
- Familiar with relative New Zealand Legislation and Statutory requirements
- Excellent Customer Relationship Management & Interpersonal Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft as well as able to pick up the internal, industry specific software quickly
- Experience using an ERP system e.g., PeopleSoft
- High standard of accuracy in written and spoken English

**Assistant Accountant**:

- Qualified CA or working towards a CA membership with a Professional Accounting Institute (CAANZ or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant role working within a large and complex environment within New Zealand
- Experience with Month End and Year End, Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Reconciliation & Internal, external audits
- Excellent kills with MS Office Suit Products as well as knowledge of Peoplesoft Financials/SAP/Oracle

Credit Control/ Assistant Accountant roles are a Band F position with a salary range from $68,600 to $84,9700 depending on experience and qualifications.

You will be a friendly and collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate a customer centric mindset and be able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation.

Ideally as this is an expression of interest to join our finance pool, you would be available to start immediately, we may be able to work with a 1 week notice period.
