About the role

As the Tāmaki Makaurau Intelligence Supervisor for Analytical Services Group you will lead three Intelligence Supervisors to enable their teams of Analysts to produce high quality Intelligence output to enable decision maker advantage. You will provide leadership and direction, be responsible for prioritisation and allocation of tasks and general administrative functions for your teams. Your key focuses will include leading development and building of capability across the teams, identifying opportunities and establishing processes for continuous improvement to service delivery. Two Lead Intelligence Analysts will also report to you.

In this role you will have a holistic view of the Tāmaki Makaurau Intelligence workload and will identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration between teams and other workgroups. You will ensure our processes and products align with Tāmaki Makaurau and national standards.

This position would suit someone with supervisory experience and a positive mindset who can lead, motivate, and develop a high performing team. You will have technical analytical experience or be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Intelligence function and best practice. You will be innovative in your thinking and your enthusiasm and interpersonal skills will be able to develop high trust and effective relationships.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide day to day leadership and direction across Intelligence teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to affect the efficient exchange of Intelligence
- Manage priorities, competing demands and implement strategies to mitigate service delivery risk
- Contribute to leading and implementing organisation change
- Positive leadership and influence in delivering Our Business Leadership and influencing capabilities to support an environment of high performance (PHPF)
- Lead critical strategic thinking that champions diversity of thought and perspective

- Experience with supporting a team whilst delivering high quality outputs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance
- All training up to date

This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level, this means your key purpose is “to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them.”
