**Our Opportunity**

As a **Site **Reliability Engineer you would be joining a high performing and innovative team of experienced Reliability Engineers, Condition Monitoring Experts and Maintenance professionals focused on optimising reliability, availability and performance of generation assets, while managing safety and risk, at the lowest overall lifecycle cost. We work closely with the Hydro and Geothermal Generation sites across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions which provides a great variety of site and office-based work.

This role supports either our Karapiro or Atiamuri sites where you will be based for a large part of the week, with the remainder of the week either working from our Rotorua or Hamilton offices (or utilising our flexible working environment and working from home).

**In this role you will**:

- Be responsible for providing statistical analysis of both asset history and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall reliability strategy by identifying and implementing small to large scale continuous improvement / reliability initiatives.
- Contribute to the development & optimisation of maintenance strategies.
- Develop, support and maintain sustainable CMMS, reliability & maintenance management processes.
- Facilitate RCFA forums and drive actions as a result of their outcomes.

**What we are looking for**:

- A proven ability to identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience with RCM, FMEA, PMO, FRACAS or similar techniques and methodologies to determine the optimal asset maintenance and reliability strategies.
- Experience in RCA methodologies and analysing asset condition data to determine causes of equipment failure, making recommendations to avoid future failures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and influence, building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- A working knowledge of Process Safety, risk and criticality assessment techniques.
- Ideally at least 3 years working experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- An appropriate Mechanical/Engineering qualification and background.
- Power generation plant or related heavy industrial experience.
