**About Aroa**

Here at Aroa Biosurgery we're unlocking regenerative healing for every _body. _Maori for ‘understanding ’, AROA is making and creating innovative and regenerative healing products that are improving the lives of millions of people around the world. We specialise in developing, manufacturing and exporting new and exciting soft tissue regeneration products utilising our successful Endoform extracellular Matrix (ECM) biomaterial.

**What **you’ll **be doing ****

We’re looking for a full time Product Development Engineer to join our Engineering Development team.

This role will be responsible for supporting the design, development and commercialisation of new medical devices and manufacturing processes as required to deliver the development objectives and milestones of the company.

**Key responsibilities:
- Work with customers, purchasing stakeholders, end users to establish user experience needs for new products
- Work with development, quality and regulatory departments to ensure new medical products comply with all relevant standards and requirements
- Working with external development partners and providers on product and process development activities
- Identifying, selecting and implementing new systems as required to support the development and commercialisation of new medical devices
- Ensure development plan delivers key objectives on time and within budget
- Presenting written reports within the framework of the quality system
- Keep abreast of relevant topics and foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Foster open, engaged and productive working relationships across all internal departments and stakeholders.
- Maintaining a current knowledge of relevant issues, trends and practices
- Exhibiting exemplary behaviour, complying with Aroa Bio’s policy, procedures and guidelines
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and innovation

**What **you’ll **bring
- A bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or similar relevant field)
- D emonstrated experience in a similar role (ideally in Medical Device development)
- Experience driving and leading engineering activities within a 13485 QMS Framework
- Experience with the implementation of Risk management with the context of medical devices
- Experience with plastic part design and tooling
- Strong Solidworks (or equivalent) CAD skills
- Test Method Development, conducting testing, analysing results, and creating reports.
- Works well in a smallish team - supporting others, and providing expertise where needed.
- Practical 'Can do' attitude with a high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to work across various technical disciplines

Based in Airport Oaks with easy access to the motorway, there is plenty of parking available around our offices. Our teams are flexible, with a mix of being in office + working from home. We also have an on-site gym, which is available for individual use, or jump in to one of our bootcamp or yoga classes.
