Here at Aroa Biosurgery we're unlocking regenerative healing for every _body. _Maori for ‘understanding’, AROA is making and creating innovative and regenerative healing products that are improving the lives of millions of people around the world. We specialise in developing, manufacturing and exporting new and exciting soft tissue regeneration products utilising our successful Endoform extracellular Matrix (ECM) biomaterial.

We listed on the ASX in July 2020, (in fact, the first company to list on ASX post the COVID-19 breakout) and with an additional capital rise since then (due to investor demand), we’re primed for exponential growth in the coming years
What you’ll be doing
We have the exciting opportunity for a Product Development Engineer to join our highly passionate and expert team. We're wanting to hear from Engineers who have been involved in medical device development projects (ideally) from start through to the end of product Verification. We're at a really critical point on a number of our projects where expertise in design verification, documentation, testing, reporting and protocol writing are needed in our team. As a key member of this ambitious team, you're someone that loves to get stuck in and has the perseverance, resilience and passion to see the project through. You are motivated to see the work come to life in all its glory and know how you can make a positive impact. We are also gearing up for the next horizon here in Product Development and we are looking for passionate and creative people to get on board.
What you’ll bring
- A bachelor's degree in engineering (Biomedical or mechanical engineering preferred)
- 4+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role (ideally in Medical Device development)
- Demonstrated ability to define use conditions user needs & requirements for new medical devices
- Experience with LSR (liquid silicone rubber) part design and tooling
- Experience with plastic part design and tooling
- Experience with extrusion and catheter design
- Strong Solidworks (or equivalent) CAD skills
- Works well in a smallish team - supporting others, and providing expertise where needed.
- Practical 'Can do' attitude with a high attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to work across various technical disciplines
- You'll be an adaptable self-starter with excellent written and oral communication.
Based in Airport Oaks with easy access to the motorway, there is plenty of staff parking available around our offices. Our teams are flexible, with a mix of being in office + working from home. We also have an on-site gym, which is available for individual use, or jump in to one of our bootcamp or yoga classes.
