**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Māori.

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

The Advisor, Business Support is part of the Office of the National Director and supports the Business Support Team Leader with the internal planning, and business processes across commissioning including risk management, business planning and reporting.

- Skills and ability in gathering and researching information, writing, and providing advice and support.
- Experience gathering and presenting information and insights in different formats to identify issues and risks.
- A proven ability to use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrates an ability to pull together clear ideas and conclusions from technical data and write and talk about the issues with a range of audiences.
- Experience using and demonstrating sound judgment to develop advice and input into key areas and pieces of work.
- Demonstrates a proven commitment to, and ability of, working in self-directed teams, and as part of a wider Team of Teams to achieve group/team objectives and outcomes.
- Ability and experience establishing and maintaining positive relationships with people at all levels.
