The Head of Pacific Banking Products role is key to making this happen by leading a team that manage ANZ’s Retail and Commercial products sold in 8 Pacific Island countries (Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste, Tonga, and Vanuatu).

There are 15 Product Portfolios with 405 products (Home Loans, Personal Loans, Consumer Credit Cards, Business Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Current Accounts, Savings, Term Deposits, Commercial Overdrafts, Commercial Lending, Lease Finance Facilities, Interchangeable Arrangements and Commercial Deposits) offered in the local currency or a foreign currency.

This role will provide strategic direction and day to day product management of the Pacific Island product portfolio including development of product strategy, simplification, customer suitability, pricing, product life-cycle management, launch, and commercialisation across the end-to-end value chain - to ensure a well-managed product portfolio supporting a sustainable business in the Pacific.

The role will also work closely with Compliance, Group Legal and Regulators to ensure the Pacific Island portfolio complies with local regulatory and APRA requirements.

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Significant banking experience & understanding of financial services. Preferably experience managing a large, complex product portfolio in a dynamic market.
Strong management and leadership experience, and the ability to confidently present at a Managing Director level.
The ability to adapt your leadership/collaboration style that is consistent with ANZ’s ambition of being and equal outcome organisation.
Demonstrated strategic abilities and a proven record achieving simplification to drive businesses forward.
Superior analytical skills and experience improving customer experiences.
Tertiary qualification in Business or a related field.
