We are looking for permanent part time Female Support Worker in Kaiapoi region for our Whānau Support services who is able to provide buddy support to our person we support.

**What's the role about?**

As a Support Worker you will be working with our person we support to enable them to participate in meaningful activities in the community i.e. swimming or to sporting activities, going on walks to the park, arts and crafts, movies - the opportunities are endless.

If you are passionate to support children, youth and young adults with intellectual or physical disabilities, this is a wonderful opportunity for you. You will be able to help people grow and achieve greater independence, develop strong social skills and support them to be part of their community - you will be somebody who really thrives off helping others.

**We're looking for people with the following skills**:

- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Experience working with youth is advantageous
- Availability to work after school hours and weekends
- Full drivers' license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
