**About the Role**

Our GeneMark Laboratory uses the latest cost-effective DNA technologies to deliver information to our customers. We are looking for laboratory assistants to help contribute to the optimal delivery of this service.

This is a fixed term position, to support during our busy season, for a duration of approximately six-months.

Your key responsibilities include:

- The efficient preparing and testing of animal samples to a high standard.
- Ensuring quality of the laboratory work through regular maintenance and calibration of the laboratory equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory.
- A focus on Health & Safety by upholding laboratory procedures.

**About You**

You should have a can-do attitude, great work ethic and the ability to work well in a team. The technical nature of the role requires an excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
