**About the role**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Ensure conformance to EHS&R standards, ensuring best practices and processes are in place.
- Liaise with operations staff to ensure adherence to quality control testing methods and standards.
- Identify and implement improvements to costs, laboratory methods and systems.
- Lead a small team, manage costs, support and assist with routine testing roles in laboratory.
- Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Remain current with Pulp and Paper technology and laboratory analysis techniques.

**Skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualification in Science with a Chemistry major.
- Demonstrate formal training or experience using advanced analytical equipment.
- Experience working in a Laboratory, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
