**What's the job?**

InterGroup are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists, delivering services in waste management, industrial and coatings and infrastructure. You may not have heard of us, but we do a lot - and we've got aspirations to be number one in every area we deliver. **About the role**

In addition, you will also
- Consulting with sites and councils to ensure conditions meet both party's needs.
- Own the hazardous substance compliance component of the business.
- Provide environment and sustainability support for the business, to assist our teams to achieve environmental best practice.
- Coordinate project specific environmental management plans, provide oversight of the environment and sustainability compliance obligations including advice and support for the delivery of projects/ contract Lead environmental incident response and investigation requirements.
- Promote environmentally safe working practices and provide leadership and training. Ensure the business is aligned to regulatory, ISO14001 and InterGroup standards.
- Liaise and manage spend /value of consultants required to meet special requirements i.e. air analysis or third party condition obligations

The technical stuff you'll need includes:

- Undergraduate degree in science, environment, engineering or technology related preferred
- Experience of construction environmental management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience developing and maintaining appropriate environmental processes
