**About the role**:
As a key member of our South Island Sales team you have the flexibility to be based in any of our Christchurch branches - it’s up to you - and will be covering the Canterbury area, with your territory spanning roughly from Rangiora through to Ashburton.

Your key areas of responsibility will be: looking after our 50+ customer base throughout the area; developing and securing new business opportunities; building partnerships and customer relationships with existing clients; looking for new and diverse market segments in which to grow; promoting our exclusive product range and devising a strategic growth plan for the area focusing on our fabulous local tradies (including plumbers, drain-layers, gas-fitters and builders) to maximise profitability. There is lots of flexibility in the role and you will work closely with our Branch Managers around the region.

**About you**:
To really understand and relate to our customers, a trade background or plumbing knowledge would be advantageous however not absolutely essential. To be successful in this role you will have a proven sales success with a background in sales development/sales disciplines and can demonstrate strategic planning and solid negotiation skills.

A fantastic ‘can do’ attitude, great aptitude and a positive out-going personality are the key skills we are searching for. Whilst we’d love you to have proven experience with working with tradies, being a team player and having great customer service/relationship skills is much more important to us. If you have the right attitude, are willing and eager to learn and grow, then we can teach you the rest
