**We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to join our Tauranga branch.**:
**The role**:

**The job**:
Most of your time will be spent prospecting your network to target a wide variety of different-sized clients across the Tauranga region. You will:

- Spend time with inherited portfolio of warm accounts to manage and grow
- Keep an active call cycle to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate and close sales, exceeding targets.
- Ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target.
- Prospect new clients and convert them into loyal customers through visits and calls.
- Build rapport with customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Work closely with our Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customer and supplier needs

**The person**:
As you will be playing a lead role in capturing sales opportunities, your passion for building rapport and long-lasting customer relationships is crucial. Lead generation and business development are key elements of the role so your strong network of contacts will be advantageous. A tertiary qualification is desirable.

You will:

- Be a confident and effective communicator
- Have relevant trade/hospitality experience.
- Possess proven sales experience
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Have knowledge of Salesforce which is advantageous.
- Have the problem-solving skills employing a solutions-focused approach to partner with our clients and grow with them.
- Possess knowledge of the food service industry (which is a plus).
- Be Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Be target-driven with a commitment to teamwork.
