Our Splunk footprint in New Zealand is growing and we are on the look out for a Country Manager who will bring us to the next level as we continue to scale and make data usable and accessible to everyone
**The Role**:
We are are now seeking an exceptional sales leader to join our senior leadership team as the NZ Country Manager, working from either Wellington or Auckland.. In this role you will lead a team of seasoned sales and pre-sales professionals working with our partners to expand our existing footprint as well as acquiring new business.
In addition to requisite passion, skills, and experience, you will have a proven track record leading high growth businesses. You will be responsible for attracting, growing & supporting the markets top talent - both your direct reports & the extended Splunk team that support this region. This extended team is focused on helping customers discover & bring to life key use cases on the Splunk Platform.

**Responsibilities Overview**:
- You will be fully responsible for delivering the revenue goals of our New Zealand business. This includes Software, Services and renewals.
- You will work closely with our customers and partners to drive mutual success.
- You will support the existing team whilst you recruit, hire, onboard additional rock-stars
- You will inspire, empower, coach and motivate, while pairing business and our objectives with appropriate growth initiatives.
- Through delighting customers you will consistently deliver cloud, software, support and service outcomes - ensuring company revenue goals and objectives are achieved quarter over quarter and year over year.
- You will understand your customers & business in depth so as to accurately forecast & exceed assigned goals.
- You will initiate sales activities within assigned area, set expectations, provide mentorship, prioritise efforts, hold the team accountable for building pipeline and executing each phase of the sales cycle.
- You will coach the team to uncover new opportunities for customers, build champions, present specific use cases, demonstrate the differentiated value of Splunk products and services.
- You will capture value & negotiate favourable pricing for both customers & Splunk by selling Splunk's tremendous value.
- You will work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources; collaborate with sales engineering, channels/alliances, professional services, product, legal, marketing, and engineering teams to create a flawless customer experience.
**Requirements Guide**:
- Experience building and leading sales teams; ability to grow and scale upward with the company
- Experience leading teams through high growth.
- Strong business relationships with government agencies
Success adapting in fast-growing and changing environments
- Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas personally and as a sales leader.
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside, and within the organisation.
- Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions.
- Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques; knowledge of MEDDIC and challenger methodologies is a plus.
- Highly professional persona and polished demeanour. Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills; effective at delivering executive level presentations.
- University, Bachelor's degrees or MBA's are a plus.
