**Te Turanga - The Role**

This role is centred around creating a competitive advantage for the Alliance Group. Reporting to the General Manager of Strategy & Planning you will work as a trusted advisor to the Board and wider Executive Leadership Team, providing commercial expertise and input across a range of strategic initiatives. You will coordinate the ongoing refresh of the company’s five-year plan, lead the completion and presentation of strategically focused deep dives to the board, while driving the implementation and delivery of strategic projects across different business units, ensuring business value propositions and financial targets are achieved. You will also manage strategic commercial relationships with Livestock Transport Companies and Representatives.

**O Pukenga - About You**

This role requires an innovative and driven professional with proven experience in a strategy and/or business planning role. You will have a strong commercial acumen with a ‘hands on’ track record in defining, developing, and delivering across multiple corporate strategies, projects, and systems. Vital to this role is the ability to think and act strategically, taking a commercial perspective and bringing the numbers alive to allow the leadership team and wider business units to make informed decisions. You will be a perfectionist with exceptional attention to detail which will shine through in your development of business cases and presentations to the board. You will have strong leadership capability and be able to build strategic relationships by effectively communicating information to a broad range of stakeholders.

We are ideally looking for someone with an MBA or similar business qualification. Experience in consulting roles with leading advisory firms would be advantageous. Ideally you will have a general appreciation of working in the Primary Sector.
