At MAS we're on a mission to get even better at the exceptional service our Members have loved us for, for over 100 years. As a General Insurance Claims Adviser you'll be at the forefront of this managing the claims process for our Members and helping them to put things right. We are looking for a standout, customer focused problem solver who is quick to pick up new systems and processes.
**What a day might look like**
- Communicating with Members, assessors, repairers and suppliers
- Undertaking interactions with all parties with empathy
- Interpreting the policy to ensure the claim falls within policy wording
- Determining settlements for Members
- Appointing and liaising with assessors, repairers and other suppliers
- Reviewing and approving scopes quotes and variations
- Undertaking recovery procedures where required
- Making claims payments within your delegated level of authority
**What we're looking for**
- Interpersonal savvy, communication and network skillsets -professional relationships built on mutual trust and respect
- Proven teamwork and relationship building skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and understanding of MAS's position in the advice and insurance market
- Excellent Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of General Insurance products.
- Desired: 1-2 years within an insurance service role, some experience in Commercial or General insurance sector
- Working knowledge and experience of Fire and General Insurance policies.
- Experience in claims handling, negotiation and dispute resolutions
