**About the opportunity**
Our Takanini Site is looking for a motivated individual to join our manufacturing team in this permenant opportunity. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are serious about advancing your career and keen to be part of a highly motivated and supportive team.
As an essential New Zealand food manufacturing business, never has it been more important for us to deliver to every New Zealander who is counting on us. As a Process Operator, you’ll be trained to operate the packing equipment on the dry line.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Setting up, monitoring and operating automated production machinery
- Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world class standards of hygiene
- Running machine diagnostics and problem solving
- Ensuring documentation is correct and complete
**Shifts Available**
- Permanent Day Shifts: 5.09 am to 5.15pm
- Rotating Roster: 3-2-2
**About you**
Your strong mechanical aptitude and sound problem-solving skills will ensure things run smoothly - as you won’t just identify the problem, you'll be part of finding and implementing the solution. Ideally you will bring food manufacturing experience however we are open to machine operation experience gained in a different industry. Together with a can-do attitude and good work ethic, you’ll be able to demonstrate a background of:
- Operation of touch screen machinery
- Strong focus on health and safety
- Computer literacy, SAP experience is desirable
- Working in an environment where you need to be physically fit and able to lift 25kgs
- Valid Forklift Licence would be beneficial, but not essential
