We have an opportunity for a Graduate Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation team. You will join a team that works on transport engineering projects, not only locally, but across NZ and the wider Asia Pacific region. You will work with a diverse client set from local government, industry, and private development.
Based in our Hamilton office, your key responsibilities will include assistance in the delivery of projects including the following:
- Carry out site surveys, investigations, and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
- Produce calculations, specifications, and drawings to ensure that technical designs provide appropriate solutions.
- Analyse data with excel and other software programs to solve transport challenges.
- Support specific projects by assisting with planning, co-ordination and report writing.
- Assist with communication and develop ongoing contacts with clients as required.
- Organise tender documents, assist in the evaluation of tenders and administration of contracts.

You will be looking for a challenging role in your field of civil engineering with a personal interest in how transport functions can contribute and help solve challenges within our cities and communities. No previous experience is necessary but having taken an internship with an engineering consultancy during your studies is an advantage and some Design and/or CAD skills would be a bonus. You’ll also have a willingness to learn and develop your skills quickly.
