Graduate Transmission Line Engineer

**The role**
Based in Hamilton and reporting to the Delivery Manager
- Engineering, as a Graduate Transmission Line Engineer, you will provide engineering guidance for the design, construction, and operation across Northpower’s Transmission Line works.
- You will also be responsible for:
- Providing engineering support to transmission line maintenance and project works
- Providing technical input to the drone Asset Inspection program
- Going out to site to work with our field crews to get the job done safely and to technical requirements
- Developing Engineering reports for completed works and delivering these to our Clients
- Being absolutely committed to safety; be mindful on safety for self, workmates, customers, the public, networks, and environment with continuous, best practice of HSQE requirements according to our compliance procedures

You will have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at Diploma or Degree level. Experience with an understanding or practical knowledge in Transmission line industry will be a bonus. We're looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Willingness to work in a mixture of office & field work, including site inspection and investigations, although you will predominantly be in an office environment
- Highly computer proficient, particularly in MS Excel and data analysis
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, maintain collaborative relations with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication, written and verbal.
- Enjoy working in team environments, yet able to work self-directed
- Willingness to travel around New Zealand
- Being a safety champion; Comply with Health, Safety, Quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Comfortable liaising with various people and departments in a multi-cultural environment
- Effective Problem solving and innovative, critical thinking
- Ability to be flexible when required
