**Job Title**: Graduate Engineer - Technical Cadet
**Location**: Hamilton, New Zealand
**Salary**: $60,000 per annum

**Position Purpose**:
As a Technical Cadet, you will be immersed in a dynamic and diverse role, gaining hands-on experience in various technical departments. From manufacturing to quality assurance, maintenance engineering to project management, you will be actively involved in different projects and learning opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

**Responsibilities**:
**Manufacturing**:

- Gain hands-on experience in production processes and systems.
- Learn about safety and quality systems from an operator's perspective.
- Participate in process troubleshooting and improvement activities.
- Collaborate with teams to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).

**Quality Assurance**:

- Gain insights into product/process quality and food safety monitoring systems.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and audits.
- Support the team in delivering quality training programs.

**Maintenance Engineering**:

- Support maintenance repairs and routine maintenance on production equipment.
- Understand how maintenance supports production teams to achieve KPIs.
- Learn about business systems implementation in the maintenance area.

**Project Engineering**:

- Assist with engineering and capital purchase projects.
- Understand how projects align with business objectives.
- Develop skills in preparing business cases for project approval.

**Technical and Product Development**:

- Conduct lab testing and analysis to ensure product quality.
- Coordinate internal trials and occasionally external field testing.
- Gain insights into regulatory compliance and product design principles.
- Prior experience in an extrusion-focused manufacturing environment (preferred)
