The NPHS works towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a** **permanent, full-time** **opportunity available. As a **Senior Advisor - Screening**, you will report directly to the Group Manager, National Cancer Screening Programmes, and be a pivotal member of our team working towards the realisation of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).
As our new Senior Advisor - Screening, you will contribute to delivery of the National Cancer Screening Programmes by
- Delivering timely advice to the Group Manager, National Cancer Screen Programmes, and other stakeholders
- Providing advice on workflow management (including managing deadlines and risk management)
- Drafting operational policy advice for internal and external use.
- Completing reporting functions for the Group, while driving continuous improvement in processes and practices
- Working closely with clinical and technical experts to promote and uphold best practice methodologies across screening services
In this role, you will support all screening teams and contribute to work programmes across the Prevention directorate.

You will be entrusted with handing complex, sensitive information, showcasing your unwavering drive to deliver results and to take ownership of critical tasks. - A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience
- Extensive specialised work experience typically supported with professional qualifications: 5 years
- Leadership experience, including designing and managing a portfolio of work and resources
- A preference for experience in working across multi-disciplinary teams
