**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The NPHS within Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have an opportunity available to join the Prevention directorate as a** Senior Advisor** for the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP). This role is a permanent, full time position based in Wellington. The Senior Advisor is an integral role within the team providing advice to support, maintain and improve the delivery of high quality work programmes within the NCSP.

**Mōu | About you**

You are someone with experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action and thrive on pulling together clear ideas and conclusion from complex technical information; then communicating these in a manner that is understood by the audience. You are experienced in leading projects or programmes of work and/or change management and can leverage your experience working with stakeholder and governance groups.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification and/or equivalent experience with very good knowledge of how screening programmes work
- Experience in the health sector either at a clinical and/or advisor level
- Experienced and confident with Machinery of Government processes
- Ability to manage relationships at all levels across organisations fostering good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills to persuade and influence
- A good understanding and experience working with quality systems and processes, including risk management, quality assurance and quality improvement
