Summary of the role:

- Provides generalist HR support across the employment lifecycle, partnering with the business in areas such as employment relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, or other special projects. May provide work direction or guidance regarding employment law or company policy to less experienced members of the human resources team. This position operates under mínimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent judgment and requires a high level of confidentiality. It's a full time and fixed term contract (to 31 March 2024).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Essential Functions:
- Act as a business partner to MRI’s regional leaders, including the New Zealand country head and employees, assisting with questions covering policies, procedures, benefits and resolution of employee-related issues.-
- Act as an advisor on complex people issues / challenges, across employment relations, compensation, change management etc.-
- Responsible for bi-annual performance review process in APAC, including management of software tools, educating employees on processes, tracking progress, etc.-
- Support line managers with performance interventions (i.e. coaching letters, warnings, etc)-
- Lead integration work post M&A activity in APAC.-
- Support the planning and execution of company engagement events in APAC.-
- Manages and audits data and workflows in HRIS systems.-
- Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed.-
- Conduct various special studies and prepares various HR reports, as needed.-
- Work with the broader Talent Team to identify and implement improvements in our systems, processes and procedures.**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role providing generalist HR / People / Talent support to a business.-
- Experience in interpreting employment law in MRI jurisdictions across APAC including Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.-
- Experience in leading HR-related integration work post M&A activity (desireable).-
- At least three years’ experience with a HRIS (Workday and/or ADP preferred).-
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects with competing priorities.-
- Experience working in the ‘technology’ sector, preferably PropTech.- Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of HR/IR framework in MRI APAC jurisdictions.-
- Strong understanding of MRI’s Business and People strategies-
- Strong stakeholder management skills (including setting / managing expectations, objection handling and conflict resolution).-
- Strong planning, time management, presentation, and organization skills.-
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.-
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.-
- Exceptional attention to detail.-
- Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions in order to determine a stakeholder’s needs.-
- Ability to approach situations strategically, solving problems and making good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment.-
- Ability to handle high level of confidentiality and common-sense regarding employee information.-

- BA/BS Degree in Business, HR, IR, OD (or similar) or equivalent experience in HR Generalist functions in a corporate environment.-

- Salary: $80,000- $85,000 base/ per annum
