**About the role**
- Multi-tasking across a number of essential business functions
- Varied role supporting a variety of individuals in our Botanic Gardens and Heritage Parks team as well as the Metropolitan Parks Team
- Working towards strict deadlines
- Providing accurate administration support and coordination for meetings, functions, projects, team events and travel
- Generating reports for both internal and external customers
- Provide critical backup to our workflow scheduling and the assignment of tasks for our maintenance team
- Building relationship with key people across the council
- Provide direction, empower, motivate and develop the horticultural apprentices particularly for their non-technical skills.

**Poition1 -Full time, Monday to Friday. This role will be part of the Botanic Gardens and Garden Parks**

**Position 2 - Part time, up to 32 hours a week. Rostered days are flexible however it is preferable that you are available to work a Monday. This role will be part of the Hagley Park team.**

**About you**

You'll have polished administrative skills to provide high-level support as well as horticultural experience. You'll have experience working within a team of managers who have continually changing priorities, and the character to respond appropriately and competently. You'll have a high level of computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite of products, with experience using SAP considered an advantage. You'll show a natural initiative in resolving problems, using your creativity to think of solutions and sharing relevant information with your team.
- Strong background in similar administration based roles
- Experience using the MS Office Suite including Outlook, word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Competent in financial system SAP
- Confidence to mentor and coach colleagues including apprentices
