**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of national contracts and lead funding and accountability workstreams associated with these services. Includes to:

- provide leadership for the implementation and development of initiatives to deliver Workforce Plan objectives.
- provide guidance and advice on implementation of policy and strategy within contracts for services across the Planning and Funding Group.
- monitor, review and report on provider performance and accountability to ensure services contracted are delivering value for money and contribute to improved health outcomes.
- lead the planning and service development, relationship management, financial and business management of contracts management processes.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Significant experience managing relationships at different levels with a variety of key stakeholders
- Sound understanding of contract management within the public sector
- Extensive experience in contract procurement, negotiation, implementation, governance, and performance management, ideally with health, education, or other social service providers
- Analytical and technical skills, including the ability to collect, assimilate, and summarise raw data in a systematic way to build a useful view of provider performance
- Effective oral and written communication skills for a variety of audiences, and ability to produce high quality commercial documentation clearly, articulately, and succinctly.
