**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Key Accountabilities include:

- Leadership of credit, lending, fraud, collections and recovery teams and functions.
- Lead the development, monitoring and continuous improvement of credit management strategies, practices and reporting.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive credit strategy.
- Lead the fraud function, developing capability, always staying abreast of global trends, technologies and risks.
- Establish collections and debt sales capability, whilst continuing to grow recovery capability.
- Manage external relationships.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification or senior level professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior regulatory role withing the financial services sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NZ credit laws and regulatory guidelines - particularly CCCFA regulations.
- Strong understanding of credit analyses and policies, risk modelling, management principles, credit decisioning systems and processes, along with changing data sources and technologies.
- Proven experience leading a collections function with additional knowledge around digital lending, fraud tools and trends.
- Outstanding leadership experience with the ability to develop high performers who work as a team, who can foster trust and confidence, and influence positive cultural change across an organisation.
- Strong relationship builder, able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Strong numerical and commercial acumen.
- Detail focused, with strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, flexibility, adaptability, resilience and tenacity.

You will also be curious by nature, particularly around credit, fraud and the changes occurring in lending, be solutions focused and recognised as someone able to consider the bigger picture overall.

The role will require you to be certified and comply with a duty of due diligence under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCFA Act).
