If so, the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai has the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior Brand and Marketing Advisor.

As one of the country's most well-known brands, we are looking for an experienced senior brand and marketing professional to develop and deliver effective engagement and behaviour change marketing campaigns and maintain the integrity of the DOC brand through brand strategy implementation. A key aspect of the role is also providing strategic brand and marketing advice to a range of internal and external conservation stakeholders. Your mission will be to inspire people to be aware of, connect with, and take action for Aotearoa's nature and cultural heritage.

**He angitūtanga** | About the role**

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong knowledge and significant expertise in effective marketing strategy and campaign / brand management. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships at various levels is key, as is your proven track record in providing advice and influencing key stakeholders with confidence.

In this role you will help scope, lead, implement and evaluate exciting and innovative national campaigns and marketing activities to engage the public in conservation. You'll also draw on research and consumer insights to ensure that marketing decisions make a valued and positive impact on DOC's brand and are free from reputational risk.

Experience in helping to evolve and implement brand strategy at a tactical and organisational level is also desirable, as is experience working on brand partnerships.

- extensive experience and credibility in the development and delivery of marketing strategies, and multi-channel campaigns
- experience maintaining or helping to evolve a national brand system
- experience with sponsor or partner marketing
- strong understanding of engagement, product, and behaviour change marketing
- highly collaborative and consultative - with successful experience working with and influencing stakeholders at different levels and in dynamic environments
- strong critical thinking capability - to analyse complex information from a variety of sources, identify opportunities and risks, and provide impactful solutions
- strong organisation skills with proven ability to work at pace and manage several priorities simultaneously, as well as a willingness to flex and adapt as priorities change
- a natural team-player with the ability to manaaki and mentor more junior colleagues and lead on significant programmes of work.

As a Treaty partner, an understanding of mātauranga Māori and te ao Māori is important in this mahi. At DOC, we seek to bring te ao Māori into all our work and ensure iwi, hapū, and whānau are enabled and supported to share their stories and ultimately increase the impact of our storytelling.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
