**Over the last four decades, Precision Construction (PCL) has built a highly reputable brand and market position in high-end residential homes and high-quality multi-unit developments for a broad spectrum of clients across Auckland and Mangawhai.**

We are searching for a Procurement Assistant to join the team.

Based at the Mount Wellington office and reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will provide support to the procurement team based on project specifications and client needs, as well as assist with work improvement activities and implementing performance improvement strategies.

This is a brand-new role and an excellent opportunity for a graduate QS or someone with 1-2 years of construction/procurement experience within the industry to grow their career.

**What your day-to-day will look like**:

- Preparation of a pack list for each building
- Liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders such as PCL Project and Site Managers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Assist with forecasting to anticipate supply chain risks
- Provide data collection and data entry support
- Support procurement activities based on product specifications and client needs
- Assist with work improvement activities and implementing performance improvement strategies.

**About you**:

- QS diploma or similar
- 1-2 years of experience as a graduate QS or in a procurement role within the construction sector with the ability to read plans
- Strong understanding of the building code and experience quantifying material lists
- Technology savvy with solid Outlook, Excel, and Word work experience
- A full clean driver license, as you will need to go on-site regularly to check materials and meet with sub-contractors
- Ability to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An ability to think practically with outstanding problem-solving capability
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, planning and organisational skills
- Honest with exceptional work ethics.

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
