The System Delivery and Performance group is responsible for the delivery of HUD's outcomes in housing and urban development. The group includes the procurement function who help to shape and support the delivery of our programmes across the organization for both our Departmental and Crown expenditure.
In our Procurement Advisor position, you will work closely with team colleagues to support the Ministry's procurement and commercial activity.
This is a varied and interesting role that will see you partner with colleagues to deliver procurement advice to internal customers, as well as providing advice on policies and procedures. You will also have the opportunity to work with Procurement Business Partners on procurement projects to build on your skills and experience.

**The position is responsible for**:

- Advising on content and information requirements for key procurement documentation including, but not limited to tender exemptions, contract documents, Consultancy Service Orders and Recruitment Services Orders
- Advising on procurement policy and processes
- Providing guidance on utilisation of All-of-Government panels
- Preparing reporting to support the procurement process and organisational strategy and performance
- Assisting the Head of Procurement and Business Partners to enable innovative and creative approaches to procurement issues
- Helping to embed our new procurement and contract management system

The salary range for this role is $71,100 - 86,900 + 3% Kiwisaver contribution.

You'll be keen to learn and excited by the opportunity to work in a team that is delivering high quality services while constantly improving and evolving. We're looking for someone who can think on their feet, takes a customer first approach and is comfortable dealing with multiple priorities and stakeholders at all levels.
Ideally, you'll bring at least 1 to 2 years' experience in a finance/ administrative or customer focused role and be keen to learn and build your procurement career.

What you'll bring to the role
- Be self-motivated, collaborative, and take a hands-on approach to your work
- Demonstrated relationship building skills, and be effective developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- The ability to gather data and then summarise relevant/important aspects and produce reports
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A well organised approach with the ability to prioritise, work effectively autonomously or as part of a team and without frequent direct supervision
- Awareness of Te Reo Māori and Māori tikanga is advantageous, particularly when supporting internal teams
