Our Emerging Professionals Programme | Te Reanga Pito Mata runs over 24 months with three 8-month rotations within the selected area of specialisation and brings some of the top emerging talent from across the motu together with the best people from NZTA - Waka Kotahi. Through the work that you do, you'll get the chance to improve and enhance the transport network and systems across Aotearoa. On offer is a unique opportunity for you to go places you never expected within our organisation to help deliver our customer promise - a land transport system connecting people, products, and places for a thriving Aotearoa.

Ko koe tēnei | About you To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A technology qualification (within the last 6 years) and an interest in pursuing a career in Digital.
- Technical skills and knowledge around specific programs of programming languages, tools, frameworks, and concepts is desirable.
- An understanding of operating in an agile environment.
- Strong personal and cultural values that drive your performance and commitment.
- The desire to collaborate and engage with a broad range of people.
- A desire to learn and gain new skills and knowledge.
- Natural curiosity around how things are done and how to make things better.
- A pro-active approach.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
