Te Ao Māori has grown significantly at Ngā Tama o Ōruapaeroa and has the support of the Board, staff, whānau and mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri. Te Reo Māori is taught at Years 9 - 13, and Cultural Studies, focussing on Te Ao Haka standards, is currently taught in Years 11 - 13. We also have Kaupapa Māori Form classes as part of our pastoral care and a supportive Whānau Rōpū.

We are looking for a Kaiako Reo Māori to teach in these curriculum areas, and to support the kura’s involvement in Kapa Haka, Manu Korero, and a number of initiatives designed to engage Māori and support their success. The successful applicant will work alongside the Kaihautū o Te Ao Māori and the rōpū supporting rangatahi and their whānau.
