Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We're looking for a senior leader, who will lead regional activities and through collaboration with the national functional leaders, provide regional coordination for, and where applicable delivery of Infrastructure Investment, Asset Management, Procurement, Delivery and Maintenance and Engineering activities, ensuring their work is undertaken in agreed national frameworks.
The role is the key interface with the senior regional leadership and operational business owners within Te Whatu Ora - particularly across the Hospital and Specialist Services, Commissioning and Data and Digital Groups.
You will support the CIIO to ensure the CEO, Board, Ministers and Government Agencies have confidence in the integrity of Te Whatu Ora use of public funds and delivery of outcomes and ensure Te Whatu Ora is viewed as a trusted partner for future investment by central government.
As the transition to the new operating model is currently underway, an initial requirement will be to support the ongoing organisational design work, associated processes and the development of frameworks and strategies in order to determine the definitive structure and operating model of the new system.
Mōu | About you
You're an experienced people leader who has the ability to engage in strategic discussions about the health system and the reforms, whilst bring your extensive networks and relationships across the construction sector, communities, key stakeholders and providers in your region to the role.
You have a proven record of establishing and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels within the public and private sectors, related industry and community interest groups and the wider national and international communities.
A thought leader and influencer, you are known for creating robust and lasting processes and keeping a clear focus on long term goals.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Extensive senior project or programme management experience
- Experience working in the construction sector at a senior leadership level, preferably with significant experience within the healthcare environment.
- Extensive networks and relationships across the construction sector, communities, key stakeholders and providers in your region.
- Ability to engage in strategic discussions about the health system and the reforms.
- Some experience with commissioning is desirable.
