Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to become the Executive Assistant to The Director Primary, Community and Rural. The EA provides support to the team within Te Whatu Ora that have shared accountability for the commissioning of services in a way that maintains continuity of care, while shifting towards the health system we want to have in future: one which is more equitable and sustainable.
Mōu | About you
You're an experienced EA with a history of supporting key leaders and important programmes of work. In previous roles you've been known for your efficiency and ability to keep up with a fast pace of incoming work. You've got a continuous improvement mind-set and natural agility. You're culturally competent, and confident at putting together hui and working with leaders. You're able to supportmeetings and take detailed minutes. Most importantly, your initiative allows you to assess and solve complex issues while working at pace. You are Independent, curious, and able to function in an online environment where you collaborate with colleagues across the motu.
This role can be done remotely, and flexible working is supported. There will be some in-person elements of the role, mostly in Wellington. If you are outside the Wellington region, please outline how you would manage this in your cover letter.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
**This role requires and/or would benefit from the following**:
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn
- Experience operating in a confidential/secure environment with access to sensitive information
- Preferably experience supporting a leader in an EA role, but extensive PA and Coordination experience will be considered
- Experience connecting and collaborating with large diverse teams
- Expert admin skills across MS office suite, and an ability to use tools like Miro and PowerPoint for the facilitation of meetings
