The Administrator will work collaboratively within the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as well as with other internal and external stakeholders to provide effective communication to patients, carers, referrers and health professionals, along with administration tasks.
To be successful in this role you will ideally be from a clerical background, be an excellent communicator and have fantastic organisational skills.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Undertaking front of house duties including warmly greeting patients and visitors to the department and direct them to the appropriate area.
- Ensuring referral letters are processed and all data is entered into our patient management systems
- Actively manage telephone and electronic enquiries
- Transcription of clinic letters
- Organising outpatient consultation and follow up appointmentsNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

**This role requires the following**:

- Excellent customer service skills ' people focused
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to achieve accuracy and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work unsupervised
- A team player
- Intermediate to advanced user in the Microsoft suite of products e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel
- Excellent keyboard skills including transcription skills
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated perceptiveness and proactive approach in an administrator role. Desirable
- Broad administrative experience in a health-related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with the public hospital system (including the patient management system)
