Oji Fibre Solutions is New Zealand’s leading manufacturer of pulp, paper, and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our Specialty Boards business is based in Frankton, Hamilton and supplies short run and specialty packaging to customers locally, nationally, and internationally.

You will have a “second nature” understanding of deadlines, variables and flexibility within the process, so we are looking for that expertise of vision planning and forecasting. It goes without saying that your communication skills would be listed as your strength, as well as accurate and precise report writing for all levels of management and production staff. Reporting to the Facility Manager you will also work closely with the production teams, Operations Manager and suppliers.

You will be responsible for:

- Raw material ordering - analysis, forecasting and ordering all key raw materials required for the production process within inventory targets
- Production Planning - plan production to maximise production efficiencies while achieving DIFOT targets
- Customer Service - with internal and external customers to ensure timely and accurate flow of information relating to production activity versus customer requirements and delivery lead times
- Operational - participate and help establish and monitor production KPI’s and financial improvement initiatives
- Environment, Health Safety & Risk - actively lead and contribute to the culture of safety first by attending all training, reading and acting on all EHSR communications and following all safety rules and procedures and identifying and recording all hazards, incidences, near misses and potential health and safety risks

You will possess:

- Previous experience in a Planning Coordinator role within a FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong work ethic & prepared to be flexible with work hours
- Self - starter with excellent communications skills and strong problem solving
- Project management skills
- Tertiary Qualifications (Manufacturing/Logistics/Supply Chain or similar) advantageous but not a must
- Computer literate - experience with SAP, MS suite, with an Excel emphasis.
