**Tēnei tūranga - About the role**:
We are looking for an Advisor to join a group of innovative and creative information and education specialists to drive awareness and behaviour change within the building regulatory system.
As an Advisor, you will support information and education initiatives for our wide variety of target audiences. From homeowners to engineers, your role will be to work alongside our team of Senior Advisors to inform and educate New Zealanders in a way that is engaging and collaborative, and which ultimately drives behaviour change.
You will use your exceptional organisation and collaboration skills to support the delivery of innovative, targeted and meaningful initiatives, that support awareness of regulatory change and contribute to a better building and construction sector - not only for those in the industry, but for all New Zealanders.
We're looking for a go-getter and problem solver who isn't afraid to ask how we can do things better. You'll be people focused, bright and motivated to get stuck in and deliver high quality work to both our internal and external customers.
**Our Team, System Design and Implementation**: Building System Performance
Our team sits in the Building System Performance branch in MBIE. We have a significant and growing work programme with core responsibilities to lead the development, design and implementation of changes to New Zealand's building regulatory system.
We will put a lot of focus on talking to our stakeholders, and understanding what is actually happening out in the real world. We value diverse perspectives, because we want to implement changes that are going to work

This is a fantastic opportunity for an existing Advisor or highly motivated graduate to gain experience across a work programme of high profile projects. To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your ability in the following areas:
- Learning and development knowledge or experience such as in instructional design, collateral/content creation and understanding of best practice and execution.
- An understanding of awareness, behaviour change and educational strategies, tactics and techniques.
- Bring a solution focussed approach to increase knowledge, participation and engagement from the building and construction sector
- Analytical skills and the ability to understand audiences to determine their needs, and priorities in the context of our work
- The ability to build and maintain successful relationships
- A collaborative and team focus
- Fantastic writing skills, including a clear, concise and plain English style that turns complex issues into easy to understand and communicate products.
