**About the Role**

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Support Services Coordinator to join our Care Home and Retirement Village. The care home has 92 beds providing rest home, hospital, and dementia level care, with our adjoining retirement village consisting of 48 villas and apartments. It’s our ambition to be New Zealand’s most customer centric retirement village and care company.

The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the Household, Laundry, Maintenance and Gardening teams, collectively referred to as Hospitality Services.

This is a permanent, part time role, 30 hours per week.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Working closely with the General Manager and other management team members (including Head Cook) to achieve the smooth running of hospitality services, across, Household, Laundry, Maintenance and Gardening
- Working within the operating budgets in all areas of responsibility
- Maintaining a focus on first impressions and the impact of hospitality services on occupancy targets and resident experience
- Coordinating the completion of training, achievement of competencies, and performance reviews of direct reports; and rostering and leave management of the hospitality staff
- Lead the orientation and induction of hospitality staff, and participate in the orientation of other new staff, and the delivery of education programme topics as required
- Champion and implement relevant local projects as required

This is a new position so you will be in a unique position to shape and grow your role, and build the future success stories for residents, staff, and the wider community.

**To be considered for this role, you'll need to have**:

- Previous experience managing teams of hospitality staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable, work under pressure and multitask
- Strong planning, organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills
- The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, managers, teams and contractors
