We are looking for a hands-on Human Resources Manager to take charge of the HR functions of our Infrastructure Services business across our South Island operations. In this role, you will lead a small team of HR Advisors to deliver generalist HR activities across our five main operating locations. You will be the conduit for delivering National strategies at a local level, as well as designing and delivering locally specific initiatives.

In addition to the above you will:

- Lead a small HR team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Provide HR support to regional operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify HR needs and propose solutions to support organisational effectiveness.
- Lead and coordinate HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislations.

There will be some travel involved in the role.

We’re looking for someone with:

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Business Partner level, preferably in a highly operational environment.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is a plus but not compulsory.
- Strong HR Generalist skills with a high level of experience within employment and industry relations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
