Mō te tūnga | About the role
This is such a great role for an admin superstar with genuine interest in their learning and professional development.
The role is based in the Aviation Medicine Unit (AMU). The small team is responsible for the provision of aviation medicine expertise through the management and provision of aviation medicine training, research and development and SME assistance with aviation medicine policy, in support of military air operations.
For example one of the key pieces of equipment you will be helping with is the hypobaric chamber which will provide an opportunity to support training operations. This is one of many exciting learning opportunities for you in this role.
As the face of the Unit, you will be their office administrator, providing administrative functions whenever it is needed as well as help organise and support training activities. Some days the situation can be fluid so you will be used to a lot of flexibility/adaptability in your day.
Due to the nature of this role, unfortunately we can't not offer remote working.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
Ideally you will have 2-3 years admin experience working in a busy environment where things can change at any moment (dealing with flexibility/adaptability mentioned above), and where planning and time management are key skills to success in this role.
You will also need to have a working knowledge of Sharepoint, as you will be the site manager.
There is a lot to learn in this role so if you have an understanding of a training environment that would be advantageous, if not you must be willing to learn and develop in the role.
You will be a confident communicator as some days you will be required to address groups of people visiting the Unit. It is a medical in confidence environment so maintaining and understanding MIC is required at all times.
