The Liver Research Unit (LRU), encompassing an infusion day stay unit, is one of the largest clinical trials centres in Australasia for development of novel therapies for management of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (primary liver cancer or HCC), chronic hepatitis B and C, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH), Wilson’s Disease, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) and Hepatic Encephalopathy. This is your chance to develop your nursing and leadership skills in one of the largest clinical trials centre in Australasia.

As the Research Nurse Coordinator you will be joining a dynamic research unit to lead a team of Speciality Clinical Nurses. You will be providing strong administration, quality assurance systems and project management to the entire team. You will drive up quality and efficiencies across the unit working off your own initiative, while also working closely with the Research Unit Manager, Nurse Unit Manager and Principal Investigators. You will also coordinate continuing learning and education directives designed to engage colleagues.

This is a permanent fulltime (1.0 FTE) Monday to Friday role You will also be joining a great team environment and working with a dedicated team.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

The successful applicant will have the following:

- Advanced nursing skills, including phlebotomy and cannulation
- May have completed further postgraduate study.
- Experience in running clinical trials and Good Clinical Practice training will be essential.
- You will possess exceptional organisational skills and be able to use your initiative, working autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- A quality and risk focused approach to decision making.
- Leadership and people management skills are desirable.
